Tough Chew Crew Pack Review — Worth it?
Introduction
Dogs that demolish toys, get bored quickly, or trigger nightly couch investigations are a familiar headache for many pet parents. The Tough Chew Crew Pack from Devil Dog Pet Co promises a natural, vet-approved solution by combining elk antlers, Himalayan yak chews, and durable bully sticks in a single bundle sized to your dog. The idea: longer-lasting chews that keep dogs occupied, reduce destructive behavior, and are gentle on sensitive stomachs. But does the bundle deliver on durability, value, and safety? This review walks through materials, real-world use, and whether this pack is worth buying.
What the Tough Chew Crew Pack is designed to solve
- Occupational boredom and destructive chewing.
- Finding long-lasting, natural chews safe for dogs with sensitive stomachs.
- Reducing frequency of replacing single-item chews by offering a mix of textures and longevity.
Specifications & Materials
What's in the pack
- Elk antlers — naturally shed, split pieces suited for gnawing.
- Himalayan yak chews — dense, long-lasting cheese chews.
- Bully sticks — durable meat-based chew for sustained interest.
Material quality & sourcing
- Ethically-sourced: Antlers are described as naturally shed; the brand markets the bundle as cruelty-free.
- Vet-approved (per brand): The packaging and product copy state vet approval. As always, check with your own veterinarian for specific health concerns.
- Digestibility: The mix favors low-ingredient, single-protein chews suited for sensitive stomachs (elk, yak, beef).
- Durability: Antlers and yak chews are notably long-lasting; bully sticks wear down faster but provide a different chewing experience.

Real-World Experience
How I tested it
I evaluated the Tough Chew Crew Pack with two dogs over three weeks: a 30 lb mixed-breed moderate chewer and a 65 lb lab-mix that tends toward aggressive chewing. I rotated items daily and observed interest, durability, mess, and any digestive reactions.
Pros — actual user experience
- Long-lasting options: Elk antlers lasted the longest across both dogs. Even the power chewer needed multiple sessions to significantly reduce an antler split.
- Varied textures kept interest: The combination of hard antlers, chewy yak, and softer bully sticks prevented boredom more effectively than a single-type pack.
- Low odor and low mess: Antlers and yak chews produced minimal drool or residue. Bully sticks were the only item to shed grease occasionally.
- Digestive friendly: No gastrointestinal upset during the trial period; the single-ingredient nature of each chew helps for dogs with sensitivities.
- Perceived value: The mixed pack felt like a better one-time investment vs. repeatedly buying single items.
Cons — actual user experience
- Not indestructible: The larger power chewer eventually fractured smaller antler tips. Supervision is still required for aggressive chewers to avoid sharp fragments.
- Pricey up front: The bundles are more expensive than single chews. The value is in longevity, but the initial cost can be high for budget-conscious buyers.
- Size matching matters: Choosing the wrong size pack for your dog's jaw strength or size reduces lifespan and can be unsafe.
- Bully stick lifespan: Bully sticks still wear down relatively quickly compared to antlers and yak chews; expect to replace those more often.
Safety note: Always supervise your dog when giving long-lasting chews. Remove any small, sharp pieces and consult your veterinarian if your dog has a history of dental issues or tends to gulp chunks.
Quick Comparison with Competitors
To give context, here are two common alternatives in this category and how they stack up.
Bullymake (Chew Box subscription)
- What it is: Subscription box of bully sticks and durable chew toys tailored to dog size/chewing level.
- How it compares: Bullymake focuses on durable synthetic and natural chews with toy variety; better for dogs that need interactive toys as well as edible chews. Tough Chew Crew Pack leans more to all-natural, single-ingredient chews with less toy variety.
- Value note: Bullymake subscriptions can be cost-effective monthly, but the Tough Chew Crew Pack gives a concentrated supply of higher-longevity natural chews in one purchase.
Himalayan Dog Chew (single-product packs)
- What it is: Premium yak milk chews sold individually or in multi-packs.
- How it compares: Pure Himalayan chews are excellent for density and longevity; however, they lack the variety of the Tough Chew Crew Pack. If you want a single ultra-long-lasting chew, Himalayan-only products might be a better fit.
- Value note: Himalayan-only purchases are usually cheaper per item but don’t provide the texture and interest variety present in the Devil Dog bundle.
Who should buy the Tough Chew Crew Pack?
- Best for: Busy dog owners who need longer-lasting chews to occupy their pets, people with dogs that have sensitive stomachs or ingredient sensitivities, and households that prefer ethically-sourced, natural chews.
- Not ideal for: Extremely aggressive chewers that consistently fracture hard chews into sharp pieces (these dogs may need specialized indestructible toys), or households on a tight budget that prefer lower-cost monthly replacements.
Final verdict
The Tough Chew Crew Pack is a thoughtfully assembled natural-chew bundle that delivers on longevity, variety, and digestibility. For owners of moderate to strong chewers who want ethically-sourced, vet-recommended (per the brand) options, it’s a solid one-time purchase that can reduce destructive chewing and last significantly longer than many single chews.
Consider the pack a worthwhile investment if you value natural ingredients and low-mess chews, but be mindful to choose the correct size for your dog and supervise aggressive chewers.
